I have tried a few different straps. The cheaper daisy chain ones and basic ratchet straps. These are the best by far. Easy to put up by yourself and rock solid. I would say these are the best with the Lawson hammock too since the hammock can be leveled properly even if the trees wouldn't normally allow.
This suspension system is a better choice for backpacker than the daisy chain systems that are widely available. This system is significantly lighter, more compact and is infinitely more adjustable. I would highly recommend this system.
My friend who also bought a Lawson Hammock bought a different brand of suspension system. Although his was similar and worked, the Lawson Suspension System was much easier to adjust and made set-up a breeze! Thank you Lawson!!
I own the Blueridge, the underquilt, and now this suspension system and they are all excellent! I have quite a few hammocks/quilts/suspension systems From cottage vendors but I always turn to my Lawson kit. This new buckle suspension is smooth and strong. Used it last week in the U.P and couldn’t have been happier. Thanks, Lawson, for the attention to detail and fair pricing!
I still did not use it. Will start next October in the Brazilian Amazon Jungle.
The suspension system reminds me of the quality of deer tree stands.
Excellent straps to complement your hammock
Makes for a quick and painless setup of the Lawson Hammock with a strong hold and most importantly doesn't harm the tree.
