Close but not there

The hammock is pretty inclusive . I just can't justify the cost versus the product quality. I believe about the 150.00 dollar mark is where I would put it

Greatest hammock ever created!!!!

So I guess my Lawson story is a journey. But in short it's the greatest hammock ever created!! I know that you're contemplating getting it if you're reading this. Just buy it! The team at Lawson hammock is beyond helpful and responsive! If you have an issue they will solve it! Mine was within one day. Now that I have set it up and slept in it, I can say that it is a bedroom in the woods!! I was excited to get back to it! I went ahead and got the underquilt bundle pack. It was more than worth the money! The design and functionality is immeasurable!! This hammock is also quite verstitile for customization also. I've added a 20" bungie at each end of the underquilt just to double secure it, the straps were there so why not! I'm rambling!! This hammock and company speak for themselves, so I'll stop talking. Just join the team and see for yourself. Best night sleep I've had in the woods!

Good for a low-intensity backpacking trip

We do an annual girls' backpacking trip every Labor Day weekend for the last few years and I bought this bundle in anticipation of our 2020 trip (3 nights, 4 days) so that I wouldn't have to keep borrowing gear. I went with this one in particular because I had been dealing with some nasty sciatica and my chiropractor wanted me to lay fairly flat but I didn't want to have to get up and down from the ground constantly so I decided against going with a tent. First off, this sucker is bulky and takes up quite a bit of real estate in my 60L pack, so be prepared to prioritize what you really want to take. We went to Packwood Lake in WA, so the hike in was about 5 miles, but with only about 700 ft. elevation gain, so I was fine packing bulky and going heavier than usual. For a more strenuous trek, I'm going to ditch the underquilt and pack an extra pair of fleece pants and jacket to save space and drop weight. The underquilt is not coming with me again unless I'm driving to my camping location since it's the same size as my mummy bag and my mummy bag is rated for lower temperatures. I went ahead and bought a gear sling that I clipped on to the hammock's suspension system and it worked beautifully (Kammock's Joey). Even the tent sleepers were jealous since I didn't have to keep my **** on the ground and everything stayed pretty dry, which in the PNW is a novelty. (Lawson, you guys need to get on making your own gear sling to go with the hammock.) Setup was quick and easy. As a shorter individual (only 5'1"), getting inside was not as easy. There was some jump and swing and slide action to get in without tipping one way of the other. And there were a few instances of actually tipping over and having to have one of my friends come flip me back over. If you don't have a sense of humor or good friends, make sure to bring some tie-downs for the corners, which I'm going to definitely be doing next time because while funny, flipping over was still an inconvenience. Plus side: the bug mesh and zipper are super durable, and my full body weight (which is not slight) can attest to that one. Summary: *Bulky. Hammock takes up the same space as a tent, but ditch the underquilt for backpacking and only use it for regular camping. *Too big and heavy for serious backpacking trips but just fine for something short and easy. *Unstable when getting in/out and repositioning yourself. Stake down the corners unless you don't mind flipping. *Durable. I flipped on to the top of it from inside when it was zipped closed and it didn't tear any seams or mess up the zipper. *Comfortable. Way better than a tent on the ground and more comfortable on your knee joints than an Eno style hammock. I just wish there was a hammock stand so that I could suspend this on my patio this summer for some lounging. *Easy setup including the rainfly, but the rainfly doesn't really tie back well when you want the mesh half uncovered during the day.

Comfy.

Perfect hammock for me. I always sleep facing down so other hammocks didn't work, but it perfectly works. At the first time use, you might feel unstable, but you can get used to it soon.
